All Play and No Work

September 14, 2011

I know I just gave you tips on how to help you kids fight the summer blues, but when the summer blues has turned into summer fever, and you need to help your child sit and focus on their homework, has a whole bunch of tips to do the trick (and the homework). You can read the full article here.

Its easy to encourage your kids to get out and play, but its a whole other ballgame getting them to do their homework. I wanted to share this article with you Knuckleheads, because the sooner the homework is done, the sooner we can all get back to playing! Of course, homework should always, always, always come first.

We’re never short of distractions in this day and age, between cellphones, computers, television – but perhaps the greatest distraction is looking out the window and wanting to be outside. Kids and adults alike – I don’t think it will ever change for me. So turn that distraction into an incentive. Get right back into the game…only after that homework’s done.
